Work Package 3 focuses on the demonstration of ATN/IPS multilink capabilities. It targets maturity levels up to TRL8 through lab-to-lab integration and validation, centred on Boeing's aircraft systems laboratory in Seattle and connected to the Iris SATCOM and VDL2 networks.
Key objectives
- Deployment of a scalable Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for secure communications.
- Integration and validation of airborne IPS avionics from Collins Aerospace and Honeywell.
- Development of next-generation IPS/OSI gateways.
- Enhancement of ground infrastructure and mobility management systems.
- Validation of multilink operations across several communication networks.
Aligned with European initiatives
The demonstrations rely on infrastructures developed in collaboration with SESAR, ESA Iris and other European initiatives, ensuring strong alignment with future ATM standards. WP3 plays a critical role in bridging the gap between research and large-scale operational deployment.
AMEA is co-funded by the European Union under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF Transport, grant agreement No 101233037), managed by CINEA, and supported by the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking.
